Thanks guys.

Yesterday I put on some wheels with some decent tires. It's not much, but at least it makes my truck look a little less pathetic.

The wheels are from a Wagoneer. The bolt caps are Chevy, so the thread is fine but they don't fit on the wheels quite right. Anyone know what kind of bolt caps I'd need to use?

Truck looks surprisingly good for rolling! Chevy made them right I guess. Welcome to the board and will enjoy watching your progress.

Thanks guys. Yukon, that frame is bent so I wouldn't exactly call it "rolling" but thanks anyway.

Alright! While I didn't find the pictures from before the accident, I did find the negatives. Fortunately, I have a scanner that lets me turn them into regular images.

These are pics of after dropping in the 327 v8, the truck is at a local mechanic shop waiting to get it's brakes checked up on. I also bought some mid-80's 4x4 Suburban wheels from him to replace those original wheels (which I'm selling, see the 1973-1987 Chevrolet & GMC Pickups Parts Board). That truck was in great shape, all that rust is mostly cosmetic, there were no structural risks.

And I'm also pretty excited because I found a '65 4x4 frame that may be available (I find out for sure this weekend) and am crossing my fingers that I can get it! Hopefully in a few weeks I can post some new pics with the engine and body on the 4x4 frame.
