Dont report it to the insurance company, They will total it in a heartbeat, then want to sale it back to for more than they gave you for it.
Glad to hear your'e ok. I'm amazed at how well the old girl held up.
Bet those F trucks cant do that, built chevy tough.

I doubt he had full coverage on it, beaters are kinda hard to insure like that.

Next truck?!?!? heck, with another windshield and some new tires, and a few other things, its going back into daily driver status. She won't be pretty, but she will wear her battle scars proudly until I get another cab for her!!!

Seriously, though, alignment and new tires all around before I get her back on the road! Then I'll worry about everything else!!!

bummer on the truck , good that you wasnt serously hurt . one queston ,is gas tank in the cab , was thinkig about changing mine but if they can take a rollover and do well ....could be better than a rear hit ? glad your okay ..........

To bad about the truck. Thank goodness you were wearing your seatbelt, it could have been much worse.

My take is, you are WAY more likely to get rear ended than to roll over, and in todays lawsuit happy world, if you pour gas on someone from a relocated tank, or burn some one from your relocated tank... your're screwed.

OMG, don't tell me that cup AND cupholder stayed in place?!!

Seriously though, glad you are OK!! Trucks can have parts replaced, but arms and legs don't bolt back into place that easily.....

I really have to agree with Longhorn man on this one.... The cab seems to be, on these trucks, a well protected place for the tank to be. As long as you don't move it, I guess it is grandfathered in, as far as liability I guess...

Yes, glock, the cup and holder stayed together, but slid around the hump slightly, the lock and tape measure were found under my feet!!!!

Thank you all for the well wishes, and don't laugh if you just have the lapbelts, if you've got them, wear them.

Re: Rolled

First of all, glad ur ok.The truck actually don't look that bad, to have been rolled over. Newer model vehicles in the same accident would look like crumpled tin foil. About the gas tank, I think in-cab tanks, are probably just as safe, if not safer than under cab tanks, especially the side-mounted ones(unless you have a leak and drop a lit ciggy back there or somethin, but that's a different story:lol: ). Also, you said the tire was dry-rotted a little, but I still don't think the tread shoulda seperated like that, who knows maybe you could sue them and get them to pay for the new cab.
