Hi from Kentucky, 2fat2furious....I love that truck! Hang on to it man, and try not to let anyone talk you out of the rare parts on it!
Your stepdad did REALLY good in getting that....like other folks on here have already said, you hardly EVER see that type of truck. Congrats again, and welcome :) |

Re: A pic stuffed intro thread
Welcome from not too far away. I grew up in Hillsboro. Nice K2500. I wish my GMC only had rust in the rockers. You've definately made a wish choice by coming to this site. We have peeps of all skill levels and depth of knowledge. Just about any question you may have will most likely be answered here.

Re: A pic stuffed intro thread
Nice start!!! I think your gonna really enjoy learning about and working on that truck...
I'd like to hear about the electrical junction box in the engine compartment. Probably something to do with the camper power, but it would have to have an inverter wired in somewhere I think unless something they used ran off of DC. Let us know what you find it hooks to!!! |
Re: A pic stuffed intro thread
Welcome from another HS Junior!!! You'll find everything you need to know here. I started out here w/ almost no mechanical knowledge, and I've grown a lot since then.
Oh, and guys? He said K1500, not 2500 ;) |

he may have said 1500... but it is a 2500. look at the split rim 16 inch rims, mounted on a full floating hub, which, even though you can't quite count them, we all know there are 8 lugs in there.
