Showtime Cruise

If it was me, I'd have "Texas Chainsaw Massacre", just because as a youth (yute) I went to see that show at the drive in about 15 times, and never saw more than 10 minutes of it.

I think your folks are gonna be to busy to care what the movie is.

I'd try to get some old car commercials as fillers before and in between shows.

Or maybe couple of the Public service shows for Hot Rodding of the 50's.

In the movie Dirt Mary and Crazy Larry the 66 or so Impala,Biscayne takes the longest cop chase beating I think I can remember in a movie. ..so at least the background noise when nobody is watching the movie will be good..;) the 3rd wheel guy that rides in back seat is the mechanic....

'' Small Town in Texas '' movie has a 66 or so chevy pickup with a supposed 427 CI in it. .... when the runaways who borrow it come up on the older guy who owns it, he is shooting at it iirc, because it won't start. ...

this thread and posts make me want to mention this Drive-in idea to my highschool class for our 30th Reunion 2012. .... .....good stuff

I like it!

And maybe a double feature; "Cars" as the early show, and something like "Bullitt" for the late show.

I had thought about it, but I was afraid our crowd would thin out too much to justify a double

Tough crowd for a horror movie. But, I like the idea of old car commercials. Nice!

I think we are gonna go with "Reels and Wheels". We had to finalize something to sell to sponsors.

If you are coming down to Good Guys in Charlotte at CMS, this "little" car show has escalated into something a little bigger. Lots of sponsors/ prizes/ giveaway items like t-shirts/hats/gift certificates/etc...

The car show/drive in is located about 25 minutes from the Charlotte Motor Speedway. We will have food and concessions, so just plan on spending Saturday evening with us.

You can find more event info at http://www.reelsandwheels.com

Hopefully we'll see ya here!
