Just took the truck for a test drive with the new valve and it performs perfectly! exactly the correct amount of assist i was hoping for. Order yourself one ASAP.
Last thing will be the steering box to tighten up the ratio, but that can wait awhile now |

Just one more thing to add to this discussion. You can take this to another level which I have not tried, that is dialing in the exact steering feel you desire. Turn One Steering also sells a flow reducer rated at 1.8 gpm or will custom machine one at any rate you order. If you look at the valve, the flow rate is determined by the size of the hole in the valve bore, bigger the hole, higher the flow. I think 1.8 gpm might be too low and could cause loss of assist or jerky assist at low rpms, but if you took that 1.8 gpm valve and drilled out the hole slightly larger in small increments you may arrive at a flow rate with a great feel which is less than the 2.4 gpm Speedway valve? Just a thought, something someone may wish to experiment with.

Johnny say "under-drive". Why wouldn't you find a bigger pulley or a marketed underdrive pulley and lose some parasitical drag at the same time? Seems like 25% underdriven would be in the neighborhood.
