Here's a few pics of the new floors installed. I didn't take the pictures, so what you see is what you get. Sorry.

Re: Mom's '54 project build thread
Here's a few shots of my mom's '54 long bed. My brother got the motor/trans. in for mock up. The cab has ben coated inside and out with primer. The patch panels inside are nearing completion. Once the motor mounts are welded in, the chassis goes to powder coat. The motor seen here is a crate GM motor rated @ 280 hp. The trans was rebuilt. Here's the pics:

Re: Mom's '54 project build thread
Daniel,
I just noticed your toe boards and they look like they are much easier to install than the B1tchen products I have, what brand are they? |
Re: Mom's '54 project build thread
My brother told me they were from Golden State Pick-up parts. I stopped by and took some more pictures of it. He got one of the cowl pieces in and a door hung. They're using newer style OEMish latches and strikers. After I took the pic we mounted the cab and marked where to cut for the trans tunnel. Enjoy!

Re: Mom's '54 project build thread
I stopped by and took some shots of the progress my brother had made on my mom's '54.

Looks like Mom might have her's on the road before you do Daniel.;)

Re: Mom's '54 project build thread
Yeah, I know. I made some expensive choices. Having my '54 gauges rebuilt, chroming my polished aluminum engine parts, cutting the subframe off and going with the must.II from TCI. They will be finished a bunch cheaper/sooner then me. I think if it were all up to my mom she'd drive it without paint, body work, A/C, and chrome. My dad's pushing for more of the finished look. They'll have a nice truck when they're done and I'll have fun cruising with my mom in our '54's.

Re: Mom's '54 project build thread
So my brother stopped by briefly on his way home with my mom's '54. Although it doesn't look like much has been done, the motor mounts are done, the trans mount is finished and the correct angle is set. It should be ready for dismantle for powdercoat soon. My brother will be focusing on the cab after that. Here's a few pics I got. Sorry for the quality, he was in a hurry.

Re: Mom's '54 project build thread
So I talked to my brother today.... My mom's truck is back at his place. It should be getting body work done to the cab soon. My mom told me she got some parts from Brother's in today. I'll get some pics when I get out there to my brother's place.
