Mark..

what site are you referring to? Because this site wont let me upload pics to my thread, it works by links only.

This site and several others I belong to all have the same process.

Start by going to the bottom of the (post reply) box click on (go advanced)Then scroll down to the box (manage attachments) and click on that, another box will open this is where you (choose file) that will bring up your files on your PC, select your pic and click on (upload) it is faster going one pic at a time.

Hope this helps, if you have any issues just PM me and I'll help you out.

Mark...

ok thats weird cause I could have swore that I tryed that before and it would work. Thats why Ive been using photo hosting sites all this time. But Ill try it now. I just started back on making my cold air intake box so heres the photos after primer and paint.

ok so update on my intellitronix crap gauges. Those of you who dont know the whole story can read it in this thread but quick recapp.....THEY'RE JUNK!!!! Ordered a set about a year ago, speedo kept resetting, oil pressure didnt work right dispite using 3 different sending units they sent. Speedo would go black when I turned headlights on. Basically they just didnt work right. Well it took me over two months and numerous calls and emails but they finally sent a replacement set. Well by that time I had already reassembled my dash and didnt feel like taking it apart again so Ive just been sitting on the replacements until today. Got the replacements installed and they sent a mixmatched set!!!! top is white bottoms are blue!! Ive had them too long to ask for refund now so screw them. Im keeping both sets and combining them to hopefully make one functioning set and Ill keep the other set for spare parts when something else screws up! DO NOT BUY THESE PEOPLE!!!! Unfortunately I also bought a window switch from them for my nitrous. Im almost afraid to use it.:cuss:

Dammit Man....It just doesn't stop on some of these build's!
I feel your pain. I have things go wrong on customer builds all the time, it's part of it I guess.
The Gauges Iv'e been using exclusively are Speedhut Gauges They are 100% customizable, from backlight color, font, tick style, pointer color etc, etc, and they come in GPS so NO sending unit to deal with!! I have used 6 sets so far and all are perfect! (my .02 worth) hope you get the gauges sorted out!

Mark.

Re: Project "Steppin Wolf" LS swap

I have no issues calibrating my pcm to whatever speedometer I buy. I don't care much for the delay on the gps gauges. Whenever I can afford it I will definitely be getting rid of these pieces of crap though. I'll look into speed hut.

Airbox is coming along. Got it coated with bedliner and closed cell foam around the top. Hoping to install it in the truck tomorrow and start work on the lid.:metal: Only problem is the piece of lexan I was going to use wasnt long enough so Im gonna have to see how another piece is going to cost and if I can afford it right now. But as long as its not too much Im hoping to at least have it cut out tommorow.

got more done on the air box today. Its coming along nicely. I just need to make some more exact lines around the edges, then Im making a metal frame around the edges out of some aluminum channel stock to hide the edges of the Lexan. Then Ill remove the air box to weatherstrip the bottom edges that contact the inner fender, paint around the edges of the lexan and its done. It should be noted that this piece of lexan will be used as a template to cut a piece later thats not all scratched up. Im using it now because I dont have money to buy a new piece and had this piece laying around.

More updates. Lid is finished and installed witht he exception of a few bolts. Need to make some adjustments but over all it turned out great. Ill be redoing the lid out of a new peice of lexan that itsnt all scratched up when funds allow but for right now its gonna seal off the engine bay heat as intended.

I bought most of a used STS turbo kit from a friend. It came off his nephew that passed aways 1999 firebird formula. Its just a T66 P trim. Thats all I know about it. Compressor wheel measured 66/91 and turbine wheel measured 73/64. Its kinda small but he was making 490@ the wheels with it in a rear mount setup. We're fabricating manifolds for front mount. Im pretty sure this thing is gonna spool right off idle but probably not make a ton of power up top so if I feel like I need more Ill upgrade later. Ive only got a total of $500 in parts so far and the only thing I have left to buy is injectors. :bann:

Heres the video of the manifolds we fabricated today.

Re: Project "Steppin Wolf" LS swap

Original goal for this truck was just to be a 13 second, reliable daily driver. We added Nitrous and its now become a reliable low 12 second daily driver. But I dont want to have to fill bottles all the time so Im moving on to the turbo set up. (although the nitrous will still be there...just jetted down ;) )
