Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
Appreciate it man, that is exactly what I am looking for - want it to look like an upscale version that could have been available if trucks then were like they are now.

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
What a disappointment!!!! I just read all 29 pages, expecting to see a completed project on page 29, burnout videos, etc. I guess I'll have to stay tuned to read at least 29 more! Your attention to detail is outstanding, I can't wait to see the burnout video at the end!

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
For some reason I don't see him as the kind of guy to do a burnout just for the sake of doing one....
|
Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
Oh, you're totally wrong there - this truck will see one HELL of a nice burn-out when it's all said & done - and it won't be from power braking it either!!!

OK never mind. lol |
Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
Well, I won the eBay bidding on that Silverado console I posted pics of earlier, so it'll be headed to shop soon. It cost more than I had hoped, but I just fell in love with it & had to have it. Never really seen one quite like that one & I just think it'll look great between my seats. Roman will be recovering all the upholstery to match, so it'll look like it was made to go there.
So much for the Tuffy console they already ordered in.... |
Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
Here is a truck for inspiration (?). Even has a super charger.

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
Apparently, they spent $170,000 on the truck, but it still only has a dana 44 up front and a 12 bolt out back. For that kind of money, I would hope it has a dana 60 and full float 14 out back.

^^^That's what I'm sayin'.^^^

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
Agree with you both there - would've had to at least upgrade those items & wouldn't have used a regular 383 either - at that cost it would need to be an LS motor. It is a very nice truck though & a lot of thought went into it.

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
what was up with the two mufflers put together?
|
Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
I think some one got happy with their figures. For $170k I could have one hell of a fleet of bad trucks.

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
I needed a laugh this morning. And what kinda chucklehead pays 170k to have someone build him a 76 Chevy?
Oh and for the $$ it should be front and rear D60's... |
Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
any updates on this?
|
Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
Unfortunately none at the moment... We've been catching up on the invoices that they've neglected to send me & I am going over them to make sure everything "checks out" before I send any additional funds their way. Should be back on course relatively soon though.

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
First off I love this truck.... its exactly what I wanted to build originally. Anyways I took a few turns on my build but I was wondering what motor mount adapters you are running? Im sure you probably said what they are but I was skim reading and couldn't find it.

It's a Pacific Fabrication LS cross member kit & Trans Dapt motor mounts.
