Re: 20/22 Boyd Vtwin & porterbuilt stage 2 suspension
There arent any clearance issues with the alternator on the the mild DM. It clears the rack just fine. Alternator does come pretty close to the top frame rail on my 67 frame. I will be doing some light trimming to the frame rail just to be safe.
The f-body ac compressor and bracket isnt even close. Easiest way to get ac on this setup would be to go with an aftermarket top mount ac bracket. Truck accessories might be a option but I wouldnt count on it |

Re: 20/22 Boyd Vtwin & porterbuilt stage 2 suspension
That's good news! I was under the impression that the steering shaft wouldn't work with that alt bracket. If it fits your '67, it should fit others, too, as the 'rails were narrowed in the later years for the big blocks.
If you're against a top mount compressor, S&P has a low mount that runs a Sanden on the main belt, moving it forward a bit-- maybe enough to clear. $pendy though... Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 20/22 Boyd Vtwin & porterbuilt stage 2 suspension
you can use a new camaro accys. (2010- current), mounts/looks simular to f body accys. and the a/c compressor and bracket will clear...

I dont think the back needs to come down more. Thats a perfect muscle car stance. Are the control arms on the ground in those pics?

I think the LS1 a/c and alternator bracket would work with the extreme dropmember if the motor were moved forward 1". Thoughts?? Also, are the 2009 G8 brackets 4th or 5th Gen? Heres a picture: |

They also have the 6310 which is the 1 3/4. Those g8 accessories look very similar to 5th gen camaro accessories. Posted via Mobile Device |

Im a late comer to the party, but whats the clearance from the alt to the top of the fittings for the steering rack? I assume the A/C doesnt fit?

Re: 20/22 Boyd Vtwin & porterbuilt stage 2 suspension
Truck looks great, what are the tire specs and what did it take to get the rear that low? Any notching or tubs? I'm guessing you're on bags, are they aired out or close to it??? Thanks for the info, bad a$$ truck!!
