Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
It's too bad the truck didn't get finished by the PO. He sure got it a long way. Pics of the finished truck would be awesome!

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
$130k. Yikes. I guess when a shop does most of the work, take the hours and multiply by $125... Six liter stroker too.
|
Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
Figure $10k for the motor alone at least.

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
I remember following this build way back when. It's nice, but for 52k they need to finish getting the A/C working.

Among other things, for 52K you get a used/faded nasty fuel tank selector switch, 3rd grade designed "switch" plate mount and orange peel dash paint. And yeah-no functioning AC either? wtf!

Asking for & actually getting are 2 different things on C-List ;)

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
Think i saw it on EBAY !!!!!

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
Im not knocking the build itself-but for that kind of $$$ some things just shouldnt be an issue. Ive built cars for guys in my shop years back-and yep labor is not cheap (even moreso if you posses unique talents) but as a builder myself I always gave the customer a lot of extra "candy" just to put the build a little over the top-after all people will ask the customer at some point "hey-who built that anyway?".

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
Thanks! I wonder if the truck is at all in line with the original builders end goals?

Re: 1977 Chevy K30 Crew Cab Build
I know this is an old thread but I stumbled upon it looking for ideas for a headache rack on my 79 crew cab.
And now I want to throw up after reading it. That truck was killer. The original dude that started the build was kind of a tool but to let the truck go after all that and have it end up painted burnt orange on 24s is awful. |
