It is not a her and he has been pretty decent to me except one chrome 67+ 68 hood latch , He claimed it was for a 67-72 :crazy: I bought from him and it was bent before plating, would not fit! He never refunded any Bucks. He said he would and never did so I wasted 60 bucks! :rolleyes: I even gave him a good report here! :crazy:
Let's not even mention the CRAPPY CHROME GLOVE BOX DOOR that has so many dents in it that I have to sandblast and fill in before painting! Buyer beware as you may or may not get quality from him either! :whine:

he is dishonest plain and simple. I will not do business with a dishonest person.He can sell all the new parts he wants and I will never buy a part from him. I have met so many honest part sellers that make me have faith in people. He brings your faith in people down. If I sell a part to someone and they are unhappy i will give them 100% refund and pay for shipping. He's just a stupid red neck. He couldn't run a legitimate business unless its on ebay.

Different person, but the chrome is as good as thi other guy, I bought a set of radiator hold downs form this ladu some time ago, she said in her ebay deacription that they were "show quality", well, guess what? barely good for a daily drievr, and she wanted me to leave her feedbcak before I did :rolleyes:

No, you can buy on e-Bay but just not from him. I have bought many things on e-Bay with good luck. Never have had any problems. But it is true. you just really never know. All you can do is check out their feedbacks. MO

I just met James at the swap meet at Ameriquest field. He told me he could beat any price out there and gave me one of his cards. I started looking at some of his parts and wasn't too impressed. His chrome parts looked horrible some of the other things he was selling were in about the same shape. I remembered his name from the board and fortunately went on my way.

I never had any dealings with the man but would say you did the right thing.

But we would have bailed you out of jail if you needed it.:D

I noticed this thread several months ago and then I discovered 67-72truckparts on ebay. I've been burned on ebay before so I always check out someone's feed back before buying. After reading through his feedback I concluded this is a person I would not buy from under any circumstances. Especially not chrome. The irony is I didn't realize till this morning that this is Tex parts.

He has a 96.1% feedback rating. That's pretty low by ebay standards especially for someone who sells as much as he does. What you have to keep in mind is there are probably a lot of buyers who were disassatisfied but were affraid to leave negative feedback fearing he would ruin their ratings with negative feedback.

I read through the last 10 months of his feedback and most people give him a glowing report. However, if one doesn't even know what we know about him, I'd still buy from the other parts sellers on ebay just because this guy has obviously defrauded people and gotten away with it. But only for now, Romans 12:9.

Below, I've pasted in just about all the negatives and neutrals in his feedback since the start of the year.

I recently answered a post on the board for someone giving away 2 front hubs that were complete... drums, spindles, brakes, etc. He said if I could use them he would give them to me. I definitely needed the spindles so I went by his place to get them. Everything was as he said they were complete and in excellent shape. This guy had changed his over to disc so he just didn't need them anymore. While I was there he mentioned he had some other parts but he would try to sell them. One of the parts was a spare tire carrier that was in excellent shape with all the hardward. I asked what he wanted for it and he said he would take $20. Needless to say I left with that as well.

I just want to let everyone know there still are good people out there. Like I said I've met Blanton and wasn't really impressed with what he had to sell. But my experience with this gentlemen brought home once again that there are more good people out there than bad.

For the most part Ebay is okay, you just have to read the other guys feedback and judge for yourself if it is safe or not. I look at feedback, shipping costs and description. If it is a headlight ring and they want $20 shipping...SEE YA! It really upsets me lately how ebay is letting people charge CRAZY shipping fees to get out of paying the ebay fees. I have seen a set of RC Car wheels "Buy it Now" for $5.00 with $35 shipping, it is ignorant, and SO many people are doing it....First sign they may not be all that honest. But feedback is the ticket.

I have 549 feedback at 100% positive because I believe that honesty is the best business, and that I check and double check EVERYTHING in the description before I buy it. You have to be cautious of everyone and prepare yourself just in case. I also try to use Paypal as much as possible. If it is big ticket item that goes south, you can always file a complaint with Paypal to get most of your money back.

I had my first experience here with a board member turn out to be less than par (I am finally over it though). I have heard of mostly good stuff about people selling here so I will probably buy on here again (just not with the first guy). It is a little harder to know what is what here (I am just used to ebay's way of measuring people)

I bought some clear parking lenes off him for $10. After 2 weeks I
got a email saying they were returned to him. Bad address???
This has never happened so I gave him the right address AGAIN and he
said he shipped em out but I owed him some $. Then he said they came
back again. At this point I just wanted the dam lenes and him out of
my life so I sent him the $18 he wanted and a miracle must of happened
because they arrives two days later at the address I sent him three or four times. So for $28US I got them after 6 weeks.........He sucks ass.

It was weird.A woman from TX came on for the first time here selling parts.Right away people made mention about there`s been trouble with a Texan and she got overly defensive from the get go.She said she never heard of and had nothing to do with Blanton and said she was in town in another part of TX.Someone that dealt with Blanton said that was where the parts were sent from.One thing lead to another and she got quiet and disappeared.
