Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
I know you guys are anxious, so here's the update...
I just got home from the Eagle Alloys sales office, the orders that were in by Thursday 3PM have been submit to Eagle for fulfillment. They are working on filling the order today, and they are expected to be ready for shipment by mid next week. When I make it back over there I'll submit the next batch of orders, and that batch will consist of the orders received after the cut off yesterday through the cut off this next Thursday. Here's a picture I snapped at the warehouse on my phone of the eagle warehouse... http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/v...onedump074.jpg |

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
what would be the ideal tire sizes for the staggered 20's? whats the biggest tire I can fit on the rear and what looks the best?
|
Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
depends on if you are stock height, lowered, or bagged
|
Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
its stock height right now, but i should be ordering the ece 4/6 drop in the next week or so...or I might do a cheap bagging, not sure what I wanna do. I think bagging maybe more expensive right now.

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
I'm also interested in what size tires are best for a bagged application. I'm leaning towards 20" wheels. Thanks in advance.

Both Tires. Side wall: 4.3 inch Height: 28.7 inch Its a pet peeve of mine to have the same side wall on tires. |

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
thanks!
Scratching my head.. i think the deep dish on the front doesnt look so good so now i'm thinking 18x8" (8.5" would be nice) on the front, i just want to make sure the wheels are as far to the fender lip as possible, imo when the fronts are set in it doesnt look right. |
Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
i ordered the staggered 18's to get the deep dish in the back. Ideally, i'd like the 8.5"f and 10"r in the 18, but I don't think I'll miss .5"...
Boise69, 4.5" bs in the front on the 18x8, with a standard 5 lug disc brake setup in the front, the wheel will be pretty close to the outside of the fender lip. I really don't think you'll have to worry about it sitting in too far. Most people with discs in the front and 18-20" wheels run 5" bs on the front. |

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
I just ordered the 18s 18x8.5 up front and 18x9.5 for the rear my truck is lowered 2.5 up front and 4 in the back what size tires should I use?
|
Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
Try to keep your tire diameter around 28-30in. I came up with 245/50 front 27.7in dia...
A 275/45 for the rear is 27.8in dia, But, imo it's not wide enough for the rim. |

Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
the 18's only come in 8" or 9.5"
the 20's are 8.5" and 10" |

I ordered the staggered 18x8 and the 18x9.5 I was going to order some 245/40s up and 295/35 in rear. The 245/40 are real common. 295/40 are NOT common but 295/35 are. go figure. Most tire company recommend a 10in with for the 295s but I dont think .5" will make that big a difference. |
Re: Boss 338 Wheels **GROUP BUY**
Howdy, I just ordered the 20" 8.5 all the way round. I'll be dropping it 4" in front and 5" in the back with the ECE drop spindle kit. I was thinking of going 255/45 front and back? Is this going to work? Is there a better choice? I'd like to go wider in the rear, but I was thinking of the ease of keeping all four the same. Let me know what you guys think!

He may be saying ease of rotation.
