Longhorn Man 12-16-2004 12:08 AM

Will this be the weekend that the Longhorn moves under it's own power?

Say WHAT???

I think the planets and there moons are lined up right, i think the bad luck is going to sit this one out... (knock on woodgrain)
This weekend will be the weekend that the Longhorn makes smoke.
I still don't know it that'll be tranny smoke or tire smoke...but dammit, SOMETHING is going to smoke. :burnout:

70c10 12-16-2004 12:09 AM

Cool, keep us posted!. Hope everything works out good.

too much stuff 12-16-2004 12:12 AM

Even if it doesn't smoke, some different door panels should make it look fast!!!(inside joke)

woodrow59 12-16-2004 12:13 AM

Go Go Go Go Go,,,,,GO GO Go ,,,,,,,,You can do it !!!!!!!

Russell 12-16-2004 12:14 AM

I want videos of the burnout!

big blue 72 12-16-2004 12:17 AM

If any body can do it before the ol' fat man arrives, Andy can do it!

Longhorn Man 12-16-2004 12:21 AM

Pics and a video WILL be taken if it works out.
My camera sucks at getting exhaust sound....kinda ticked me off. I was gonna get a clip of the GMC with the rod hammering away over the uncorcked headers...you couldn't hear jack on that clip.
Anyways, I figured 2004 has been one of (if not THE) worst year of my life...ppl droppin dead all around, car accidents, engines crapping out onto the floor, dad fallin out of the sky and landing on his nose....I figure I have everything I need now (still short a starter...but I'll get one friday probably) I doubt I can have much more bad luck this year.

Hooter 12-16-2004 12:38 AM

it took me 2 days when I thought it would take an hour to get my damn Monte running, anyone else ever put the fuel pump in and forget to put the actuator rod inm first?, Doh! lets hope for the best and laugh at the worst :D

Russell 12-16-2004 12:44 AM

You did that too Hooter? lol Took me about 3 hours till I spotted the rod sitting on the bench, DOH!

longhorn71 12-16-2004 12:55 AM

Andy, i am sure you can make it smoke.even if it needs a full tank of gas ,a rag stuffed in the spout and a bic lighter!!I am sure it well be fine but we need pics dude

Actually, I'd like to see some of you hang with me...I normally keep a bottle of jack with me on these kinds of jobs. Don't get drunk...just a constant good buzz. That way when you crush your finger, it doesn't hurt as much. ;)

Canadian694x4 12-16-2004 08:07 PM

68C15 12-16-2004 10:53 PM

where's the option for parts falling out of the pan? just kidding. I have a lot of faith in you Andy. after all any guy who is capable of repairing a hy-rail system is sure able to get his own truck running.

Andy,
I'm pretty confident that you'll get r done. Just think if you've got snow on the roads you won't need to much to get the wheels spinning. Best of luck.

Don
