Like the title says, I lowered my '71 Sierra Grande on saturday nite. Started at 8:00 p.m. and finished it at 4:00 a.m. on Mothers Day;) with the help of my little bro. We lowered at his workplace they were kind enough to let him have the keys to the place. And the rest is history...enjoy.

That looks awesome!! I'm not a big fan of the aluminium slots, but they look great on your truck, great job, nice truck!

Wow... what a difference! Love the stance!

What drop kit did you use? And, what's the amount of drop front/rear?

Hey thanks Houp, I didn't have a choice my 15-inch stockers hit the lower control arms. So I did the next best thing, I took them off my '69 C-10 and switched them. Here's some pics of them on the '69. They are 17x8 all around.

Two trucks... you are one lucky man!

Re: I lowered my Sierra Grande over the Weekend! Pics Inside!

72BlckButy, I used a Belltech kit. 3-inch drop spindles with 2-inch drop springs on the front. 5-inch drop springs on the rear;) All for a total of a 5-inch drop all around.

Thanks everyone for the great compliments!! I agree with you Special-K the slots look better on the white truck. I went ahead and put the rallies back on it for now until I decide what wheels to put back on. Or I can put the slots back on the white one and pick out a different set for the "Grande".:)

Did you put a adjustable pan hard bar in the rear to correct for the 5 inch drop? Shocks relocate? Can you notice any handling differences?

New wheels and drop make it look like a totally different truck. A whole new attitude. ;)

Thanks again everyone for the awesome compliments!!! I really appreciate it alot, positive feedback makes me jus want to keep working on it some more so that I can show-off what a little elbow grease can do. What does everyone think of 20inch Torque Thrusts? I know that they are somewhat played-out on the trucks or on anything for that matter but just look so bad-a$$ on these trucks. Truckmanloco you have a great looking "Grande" also, I haven't seen that many around here or anywhere for that matter. Thanks Again everyone. Here's some more pics, enjoy.;)

Re: I lowered my Sierra Grande over the Weekend! Pics Inside!

Sammy, to answer your question I didn't have to use an adjustable pan-hard bar or relocate the shocks according to kit and the techs @ Belltech. It rides pretty smooth but then again I only drove it for about 20miles and then put it away at my parents house. I live about an hour and half away:( and don't spend much time on my trucks. I live in the city.

Gottcha. Just what some of the vendors were saying (4 or More)didn't know if that was a ploy to get us to buy more parts. I like the color scheme combo with white in the middle. Looking good.

Man I dig that white truck

Who makes the 17" slots ???

Re: I lowered my Sierra Grande over the Weekend! Pics Inside!

Short-t, tire sizes are 255/50R-17 Hankooks all the way around I think? Can't remember I don't have the trucks here with me at the moment pretty sure though. Spray-Bomb the wheels are made by American Racing the biggest size that they make them in is 17x8, sure wish they would've made them in bigger sizes. RCbowtie69, Hart_Rod thanks for the compliments.:)
