What did you accomplish the weekend ?

I've been finishing up on my bumper project.

I wanted to big pipe bumper for my 3/4 ton work truck.

I spent the day spreading filler and getting it readt for primer.

It's got a hidden hitch that will be behind the license plate.

I hope to have it painted some time this week.

Looks great Tx. I feel sorry for the person who isn't paying attention and hits it.

Wife and kids went out of town to her parents for the holiday and I had a suprise when they returned. Pic is dark because it's dark outside. ;)

Now that's a bumper.

I put brakes on the wife's Moosetang and rebuilt the brakes on my '56 Chevy sedan.

Well I finally got around to putting the 1.5" drop blocks in on my 69 driver and got most of the shock relocators installed, except for the top drivers side shock relocator bracket. The bracket is about 3/16" to narrow and will not let the shock slide into position!! Will be calling ECE in the morning. BTW the new drop looks sweet!! although it will most likely be next weekend before I can drive it and get pics. I also put on 1" spacers in the rear to get the wheels out a little more. My 69 didn't come with discs brakes and since I added discs in the front I found out I needed more offset in the rear and the wheels I ordered only had one back space option in the 15" size wheel :(

Got my wipers working and tore apart the rear brakes on the 68.
Polished the right fork on my roadstar and made the seat pan.
Rejetted the wife's GSXR.

Randy, got any pointers on removing the factory shock brackets? I'm planning to do the same thing this winter. I still need to decide on what height blocks. Did you grind them off with the bed still attached??

I used a 3" cut off tool, cut an X in them and hit them with an air chisel and the came right out, got them both out in about 10 minutes. Yes the bed is on. Adding the drop blocks after 4" springs makes it fun cause you almost can't get enough travel to fit the new u bolt in place because of the bump stop mount. Someone nabbed my 2' tall jack stands, so I had to do it with 3 short stands and two jacks :uhmk::waah: was a little tight, but I got them both done except for that dang upper shcok mount in about 3 hrs. I still have to check to see if I need to adjust the panhard bar to recenter the rear.

Cleaned my truck and got out the never ending Christmas Lights. My wife has been at me for the last two weeks to get all the lights out get them ready. Nothing like National Lampoon Christmas at my house. Bring on the electric bill!

Been off since Tuesday. Finally did something today on Ol' Blue. Broke out the die grinder and a cutoff wheel - attacked the exhaust tips (ugly, rusty) and cut them off. Put on some stainless resonator tips. Look great and they did actually improve the exhaust sound (a little).

Re: What did you accomplish the weekend ?

Finished my wiring to the starter, cleaned up my old junk brake lines (since Inline not cooperating, I'm not going to buy new ones).
Put the front fenders on.

I picked up the 67 step from the exhaust shop, 3 inch exhaust sounds nice

Mocked up the tilt column.

Started on a custom brake pedal.

Mocked up the Hyra -boost. Drilled a couple of holes in the firewall.

Getting ready for discs up front.

Bent some more lines for the AC.

Re: What did you accomplish the weekend ?

I pulled the wheel cylinders off my 67 C30 and cleaned them up, ordered a bunch of parts from rock auto to get some brake action going. I am replacing one and hoping a rebuild works on the other. Its got some goobers in the center of the cylinder, but I think it is small enough and centered enough not to bother the pistons. New shoes all around for this beast and lines and hardware, new drums for the front, I have to hope for the best for the rears since they are not available, they looked ok, I have seen worst.

Re: What did you accomplish the weekend ?

I took two magnaflows and some straight pipe to the exhaust shop and had the mufflers and dumps welded up, pulled out the sway bar sanded and painted it and replaced the bushings, pulled out my inner fender wells and sanded and painted them, found out i had a leaky heater core and ordered a new one, and left the charger in the garage and drove the crap out of my truck. Ran out of gas with the gauge showing 1/4 tank, ordered a new fuel gauge. Ate some turkey.
