It looks sweet man, any possibility of getting a side shot?? I really like those rims on the website....but I need to see them on more 67-72's before I make up my mind. :D

Color

What color is this truck (specifically)? It's beautiful. I'm looking for colors to paint my truck and have been looking for a burgundy type color like that one. Could you post some other pictures that show it better? Mine will be the factory white on the cab top and center (Cheyenne style), but the base color will be changing. Let me know if you can help.
Thanks,
Tom

jmil1974 12-29-2002 01:56 AM

Thanks for the compliments! She looks much better at a distance, hehe. The color is a 96 F*rd M*stang color, Candy Apple Red base/clear. It looked good back in 96 but there's some rust coming through in some of the usual places - Above windshield, lower driver door, where trim used to be under rear glass. But the rockers and cab corners "seem" solid. Plus the usual chips and scratches, couple of them rusty. :o

A friend of mine is trying to buy a body shop, hopefully it will work out. :D If so, I'll go with the new dark red metallic on the 50th anniversary vette.

I thought I got a couple interior pics on there and a down the side shot too. I don't have a straight side shot because I have plenty of that on video. Anyone wanna post an MPEG for me for a week or two? :p

Nice looking color and I like the depth of the paint. Another 67-72 that we should all appreciate, and I'm sure you will have a ton of fun with it, hopefully as much as I am haveing with mine!!

nitor 12-29-2002 11:12 AM

Presentable? I'll just be glad when mine looks that good.

Steve Carda 12-29-2002 11:50 AM

Sweet paint! Whats the seat out of?

1968GMC 12-29-2002 05:11 PM

the seat are out of what truck/year. and is it to low/high or just write

jmil1974 12-29-2002 06:17 PM

The seat is out of a '90 or so Chevy/GMC pickup. They fold forward and the driver side adjusts forward and back. The pass. does too but only when folding. The seat fits pretty good and they are cheap now too. I had to drill a few holes and use some spacers but it's actually pretty close. Would be closer with a high hump instead of my low one.

Hope this helps and thanks!

When the clear coat fades on those wheels, I can say without a doubt... They will polish up beautiful!!! Mine faded within a year and I drove it like that for many years after :(, until recently I decided to polish them with Mothers aluminum polish... HOLY COW what a shine!

Killer looking truck you have there. Paint looks perfect from the pics.
