Sorry I've got friends that have lots of pics but my camera was stolen. Here is a few more pics of when I started.
I built my frame from 2x4 tubing. I am going to make it air tight and use it as my air tank.

How do you drain the moisture out of the frame. Is it as humid there as it is in Arkansas?

Re: My project 68 with an LS1

very nice! I had contemplated the frame air tank idea for my next build. Looking forward to seeing it completed!

Had to make a tranny and drive shaft tunnel so I could raise up the LS1 and tranny. I will be able to roll low without any worries. (I hope!) Made my gauge cluster from an old glove box. Have a mustang R&P on it. I hope it handles good.

Had to put that little box on the back of the cab for the back window to roll down into.

Very COOL truck!
What size wheels and tires up front?
(Also,... what size tires on those rear 24's?)

Yeah. Me, too.

jmuck, you are definitely a fine artist.

BTW, I'd be willing to bet that your rear wheels, alone, are worth more than my whole truck.

Thanks for the pics. Beautiful.

What is a "Scotts piece"?? I don't know if it has it or not:confused:

67cheby 12-10-2010 01:50 PM

Re: My project 68 with an LS1

I think it is scotts hot rods, that builds a piece for the rear crown of the cab that rolls it over and takes the crown out of it above the rear glass, it just looked like to me that you had done something there maybe not , did you just smooth that seam ?

ksbrktracer 12-10-2010 01:50 PM

Re: My project 68 with an LS1

I believe he is talking about a filler panel that takes out the seam at the back of the roof ..... pretty slick piece ... smooths the back of the cab up quite nicely

I think Nate Porter built the piece you are talking about.
