Wheels; Wheels; and more Wheels...

It's time I started looking for wheels for my almost finished '72 C10..
I sure would appreciate seeing some of the ones yall chose..I tried "searching" but pulled up everything with the name "wheel"..
I have a '88 C1500 Silverado with 15" American Racing Torque Thrust D that I love but want something different for the 72.
Thanks!

I'm not sure where it went, but ther used to be a wheel/tire fitment thread here. Hoopefully someone knows where it is and can post a link to it.

As for my truck, I went simple with 17" AR TTII's.

Not mine, but one of my favorite all-time tire/wheel combo's. Of course it only works on a lowered ride. Trying to pimp this setup @ stock height would look goofy IMHO.

What color / shade of blue? Is there a theme to the truck? Do you want gray / black / polished / chrome ? We'll find you something ! :D Budget in mind?

I think Al may have given $100 bucks a wheel or so for his.. :haha:

..see 68StepBed's truck in post 6 for the color "to be"/ not painted yet..
far as the theme? really don't know what your asking:uhmk: nothing's being changed on the exterior except the wheels and tires:15" to 17"(17" is tall as I will go)..it's a 72 C10 short bed totally restored..well it was lowered only about 2"..
I'm thinking polished or chrome..but may change my mind..just have to keep looking..
Thanks Rat:metal:

Don't have pics in comp yet to show Black Sheep plus it's not painted yet..I was just hoping I could see some of yall's "completed" trucks to get some idea. Really doesn't matter what color/theme/fleet side/step side/color of wheel/size/etc..just want to get a look Thanks :mm:

Take your time on wheel choice. One of my regrets so far was rushing to get wheels.

Jim-bob, those were American Racing Hopsters in 15x8. They also look good in 17's. Look up 72BLUZ. He has 17" Hopsters.

Yes !! I need a new wallpaper. :D

When I mentioned theme on the earlier post, I just meant are you going for a stock look, Shop Truck, Vintage, Bigs / littles / Steam roller meats in the back? What do you like?

I have 20's but I went with Cast centers. That will save you a little money. Here's a picture of mine.

Thanks BigKahuna! thought I'd try a style a little less traveled on the C10's. :)

Re: Wheels; Wheels; and more Wheels...

BTW, jim-bob, not sure if you already mentioned previously but is your truck a step side or fleet?
Not that you can go wrong with the right set/style of wheel on either, I do believe some wheels match the fenders of a step side better than others.
