Billet Aluminum Radio Plate - Gauging Interest for another production run
 

I designed these and sold them for a few years but stopped producing them once other guys started making them as well but I've gotten several inquiries about them lately. If I can get 25 people to buy one I will start selling them again. Since I will have to pay for the upgraded forum membership I will not agree to make them until I have 30 people interested (at least 5 will back out). I should be able to sell them for $75 unpolished (with tooling marks that you will have to sand out) and $95 polished shipped. That includes all the fasteners, the drill template, polishing rag, priority mail shipping and paypal fees. If you'd rather pay by other means than paypal I'm good with that but there won't be any savings because I have to make a special trip to the bank and post office.

If you are interested please reply in the thread. I will not start selling these again until I have enough interest. I've sold lots of these and know exactly how much it costs to make them, please don't comment about the price.

is the unpolished just a raw machined aluminum? do you happen to have a pic of the unpolished?

I don't have any pictures of the unpolished anymore. It's just the raw machined aluminum but doesn't take much sanding to get the machine marks off. Most of the effort is getting them to a mirror finish.

Anodize is a better option, another member contacted me about having them anodized, I'll see what he charges

From the time I order to the time I deliver them to your house it should be a month

It will fit any DIN size stereo, so pretty much any aftermarket stereo.

I am definitely in for unpolished one.

I was going for a stock radio but the previous owner of my truck already cut up the dash so this would be a nice solution to keep the classy look.
