7040200 7042902 7041211 & 7042210 restored carbs
1. 1970 Chevy LS5 Carter. body built for Rochester dated J9 automatic carb 402 and 454. $325
This is the only carb I have left. If you need additional pictures, please let me know. It was rebuilt to factory specifications for the 1970 LS5 motor. Please look up the application 7040200. 2. 1972 7042902 dated 2601 CORRECTION: it is a 902 not a 910. Chevrolet 350 California Rochester quadrajet carb. This is a 1972 California carb for a Corvette, Camaro, Chevelle or Nova. If you look at the front, part of the bracket that the idle solenoid mounts to is damaged. $295 3. 1972 7042210 dated 1532 350 auto $295 Sold to Davestrucks 4. 1971 7041211 dated 1301 350 4spd $295 He charges me $225 plus shipping to restore these carbs so you are basically getting the rebuild, core and shipping for $295. I had additional carbs done by a guy who has over 40 years experience rebuilding carburetors and has done thousands. This carb has just been restored and is ready to install. The rebuilding extras include NEW bronze bushings installed in base. ALL rebuilt quadrajets should have this done. The bases are aluminum and the shaft bores wear and cause poor idle and vacuum leaks. All NEW primary throttle plates are installed. They are also aluminum and wear out. The secondary air valve cams are plastic. This lifts the metering rods when the secondary’s open. They wear out or break causing a lean wide open. All NEW air valve cams are used in these rebuilds. New float installed. The main well fuel plugs are MT13 sealed. Other sealers will not hold up to today’s fuels and will leak. The accelerator pump cups are fluorelastomer and are blue in color. They are the only pump cups that will withstand today’s fuel additives. The black pump cups are no good and will swell or shrink. All NEW choke pulloffs. The secondary throttle plates are DAG213 sealed for a good quadrajet idle quality. The top and body are chemically color bond 420 dichromated. The aluminum base is restored with a two part cleaning process that brings the aluminum back to the original finish. No silver paint or wire buffing is used. The bottom of base is then machined flat to prevent any potential warpage. The screws and linkage are yellow zinc plated. No rusty parts here. Carbs are tested on their machine that uses a pressure gauge and fuel meter. This assures no leaks and a good pump stream for the accelerator. A mounting gasket and an air cleaner gasket are included. You will not be disappointed. Fedex Ground Shipping with INSURANCE is included. $295 shipped to Conus for the 350 SB carbs and $325 shipped conus for the LS5 carb. 7040200 I need to resize my pictures. You may search 7042902 John H. and see pictures of the work. |

If you come across a carb for a 1970 350 with an automatic for a California application, I will buy it. These are beautiful carbs!

Re: 7040200 7042902 7041211 & 7042210 restored carbs
John, I'm interested in that carb for the 70 402. If I can swing it and you still have it by the end of August when I come up would like to buy it. I plan on coming up Friday the 30 of August, that's the only time I can make it. I plan on being there early in the morning. I'm still interested in those other parts I talked about earlier. Please let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks Mike.

Re: 7040200 7042902 7041211 & 7042210 restored carbs
Real nice work. I would take a 72 California emissions carb but can you confirm the number on that described in #2 above? There are 6 rather than 7 digits given. I thought the third digit was a "4" for 70-75 application with the fifth digit a "5" to denote CA emissions. Thanks, Pete

Re: 7040200 7042902 7041211 & 7042210 restored carbs
Hey Pete, it is 7042902. Typo. You can see it on one of the pictures. Also, I am building your k20 twin. Factory orange super K20 4x4, ac, tilt, parchment, slider, door edge guards. Adding tow hooks, tool box, tach speedwarning and possible shoulder harness if Wes does not hold them hostage!
Bronze 72: Mike, we will work something out when you are up here on the 70 carb. Posted via Mobile Device Correction: Pete i had it in my mind it was a 910 ending CA carb. It is for CA: 1972 Corvette, Camaro, Chevelle, or Nova or specific for truck! |

Good to know about the "9" referencing CA Q-jets as the few decoding sources I know of make mention only of a "5" for CA emissions carbs. I'm keeping an eye out for a CA carb for my 72 Blazer - which has all the CA emissions equipment in place but the carb code isn't correct (it's more of a want rather than a need right now). What concerns me with this carb is the mounting tab for the idle stop solenoid - my Blazer has A/C and I wouldn't want a loosely mounted idle stop solenoid. Thanks! Pete |

Re: 7040200 7042902 7041211 & 7042210 restored carbs
The 902 is a 72 automatic carb with one additional port that can be capped. The 211 will work for an automatic if numbers are not an issue.
These are pretty good values. Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: 7040200 7042902 7041211 & 7042210 restored carbs
What I'm looking for is a q-jet with electric choke that I can bolt on. Something that has been rebuilt like what you have listed sounds great.

Re: 7040200 7042902 7041211 & 7042210 restored carbs
John I was thinking about this and then remembered that the bracket of the idle stop solenoid is also attached by a bolt. So, do you have a bracket/screw you can use to test for stability on the 7042902 CA emissions carb (if you still have it)? I'd strongly consider it if the bracket is tight and not wobbly. Also, any interest in a partial trade for a Q-jet correct for a 1968 327 motor with an auto trans or a 1971 Q-jet correct for a 4 spd? Both of these Q-jets are non-CA emissions. Thanks, Pete

Re: 7040200 7042902 7041211 & 7042210 restored carbs
I don't think I have a solenoid. I can send it to you and if it does not work, you pay shipping back? You can test the solenoid bracket and decide. If you like it, you can pay me if you like it. If not, just pay shipping back and I will pay your way.
Pm your address, email and cell number and I will get it out on Monday. We can use my account for discounted shipping too. Posted via Mobile Device |
