How much Freon?
 
Anyone know how much 134A freon goes in my new compressor/system
Can't seem to find the answer and I don't want to be blowin hoses thanks

My aftermarket system took exactly 2 cans.

last time i checked they were all the same pickup/blazer/suburban/ the only exception being suburban with rear air. But this is for a blazer

You have to have a set of gadges. Start vehicle, turn A/C to max, pressure should be in the 30-40 LB range and steady. It's advisable to vacuum system to negative pressure to check for leaks first. Don't over charge or you will burn up the compressor in no time. Also check or replace the oraface tube.

My Vintage Air unit said 1.8 pounds, both for my 71 C30 and my 66 Chevelle.
