Differences between 10's and 20's?
Ok Im going to buy a 69C20 tommorow for 300 bucks :D What is the differences between the 10 and 20 series trucks? Just the frame? Or is there other differences? This truck sounds like it may be in better shape then my 72 and I payed 2500 for it :( . Thanks!

Suspention.
8 lug is a 20 (3/4 ton) 5 or 6 lug is a 10 (1/2 ton) The brakes are way better (bigger) on the C/20 trucks, but they are geared lower. |
Hmmm weight differences?
|
the 3/4 is heavier than the 1/2 ton, but not by a whole lot.
They can haul and tow a heluvalot better though. |
Thanks Longhorn!

3/4 tons have full floating rear ends, better brakes, usually a heavier duty cooling system, way more load capacity and they ride like tanks when not loaded
|
The frame also has extra braceing back by the carrier bearing mount on 20"s....
|
I didn't know that. I know the frame rails are the same though...had no idea on the bracing.
The trainling arms are beefed up a bit too if the 3/4 ton is a coil rear. |
