1972 Shortbed 4X4 Lost...

Hey all. I need some help. I sold a shortbed 4x4 about 8 or 9 years ago  ( I know, I'm an idiot) to a man named Fred Mills. He attended Griffin Tech in Griffin Ga. and we took a welding course together. I'm having trouble tracking this truck down. I really want to try and get it back  Maybe it's a lost cause at this point. It was blue when I sold it, and I had '75 blazer axles under it. It had a 3 speed manual, but I changed it to a 4 speed from a Suburban. It was a former forestry service vehicle. It had a factory brushguard and tow hooks. It also had a 6 inch lift kit and 33-12.50's on chrome wheels. If you have any information, please let me know.

If you have the VIN try going to your local DMV aka Secretary of state and see if they can tell you who the current owner is. If you don't have the VIN maybe you can get it from your insurance agent, they normally keep files on that stuff for awhile.

If you don't have the VIN seetry tracking him down through the school, lots of schools keep trck of where their graduates work.

Good luck
Chris

I don't think I have the VIN anywhere. I tried the school, and they refused to give me ANY info. even though I was a classmate...

Do you know where he went to high school? You could try classmates.com

I don't know. All I know is I practically gave this truck away because I didn't know that repair panels were available for all the rusted areas. I loved this truck, and so did my wife. His name is Fred Mills, and I think he had a wife named Sonya. I've tries a few different searches, but no luck.

Keep us posted. It would be interesting to see if you could at least find it again. I dont give you good odds but luck just the same.

If you remember the licence plate number and know of any cops anywhere they can run the plate and tell you where he is.
