Some shots of some of the things I have been doing on my truck....

For some reason I'm having problems placing where that is located on the truck. Is there any way you can back up farther and take a pic of it in its entirety?
Todd

Shots 1&2 are of the cab.The rest are of a filler neck in the rear stake pocket.I think!
Did I win the Kewpie doll?

neonlarry 09-04-2004 04:14 PM

The first 2 are of the cab, the others are of a gas filler in the stake pocket on the bed.

toddtheodd 09-04-2004 04:18 PM

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... I see now :banghead:

krue 09-04-2004 05:39 PM

Looks pretty good.

Canadian694x4 09-04-2004 06:01 PM

Nice Work!

John, I like your idea for the filler. I have been wondering what to do when I put a rear tank in for my TPI conversion. I like the taillight idea but with our filler hoses I don't know if you could get a seal and besides I want a bigger fill tube.

SCOTI 09-04-2004 08:10 PM

That gas filler is a different approach. I like your progress.

Joe67 09-04-2004 08:55 PM

Nice work - thanks for the pics

chevytruckfan 09-04-2004 09:21 PM

What did you use to paint the underside of the cab?

WRMZ71 09-04-2004 10:03 PM

I was gonna aske that too chevytruckfan

Looks good! :bowtie: Is that a marine gas cap? and por-15 on the bottom of the cab? Thanks for the pics!

gas filler

Where did you get the filler neck & cover ? I like the idea........Zoomy

John Fabris 09-05-2004 04:17 AM

Filler is marine gas filler, where center button pops up and you can unscrew the cap.
Had a friend spray bottom of cab and bottom of all four wheel wells with Speed-Liner.

I also used 1-1/2" filler hose (from local autoparts store) and got the local exhaust shop to bend a small section of tubing into a 90 degree.

John, nice work & website you have! Your burb is neat also, rare & heavily optioned later Doug

FRENCHBLUE72 09-05-2004 11:40 AM

That's a pretty trick set-up on the filler neck..

WRMZ71 09-05-2004 05:34 PM

One last question. What are the dimensions on that roller deal setup you got your cab sitting on. I'm to the point on mine where I won't be able to just drag it around on the floor anymore. That and its wreaking havoc on my new 60 dollar floor covering in my garage.
