Did chevy make a 67 or 68 shortstep with the color combo and scheme as the one below?
If you have a pic of such a truck regardless of base color red, green ect. can you post them or email pic to me no photoshopped trucks must be original/factory.
The reason I'm asking want to know if my idea is original either way this is the way I want it to look when finished your opinions will not discourage me but as usuall help in its progress so please give me opinions...thanks Lewis

Thanks:Longhair for your time n effort in photoshopping my baby!!!

Well, it's not a short/step, but a 68 Longhorn...all original acording to the add that it carried a couple years ago....exact color combo you're looking for.

67 would have had just the roof sheetmetal in white as in your photoshop...68 - 72 included the top of the door, and the windshield posts too.

It actually looks better with just the top white...not the pillars.

Joe67 10-23-2004 08:02 AM

That 67 is sweet! I've like that paint combo.
How much of that is pshopped??

Not a step but this truck has the exact combo you're looking for, it belongs to a board member, but can't remember his screen name :( it has factiry paint if I remember correctly.

This doesn't have the white, but I thought it was an awesome looking truck. Caught it on ebay, where it didn't sell. Saw it on collector car trader (i think) and he's asking $13k or so for it. #'s matching 283 3spd. Anyways, it's a step.

Alvin, that's a sharp stock truck and once I drop in the LS1 that would make a great sleeper and that may be the way it is until I can afford the wheels and the rest of the chrome goodies, but the goal is the pic "Longhair" photoshopped for me that is a idea that I came up with( original idea )that has a stock/high tech look, so even if someone else gets there 1st true truck guys know where the look started, but hey if they do,that will be the most flattering thing to know others liked it,that would be so cool!

does long hair charge for doing this? I am going to paint mine soon and I am debating on which of my two colors are going on the top. I am going the custom route I have the ppg numbers for the paint its kind of a copper color and a silver with a purple stripe to break up the two.
