Windshield rubber

I have never gotten my deluxe window rubber to seal 100%. Do the standard window gaskets seal better? Also too, does it pay to use that window sealant stuff along with the gasket for watertight install? I had my window and trim installed by a company 2 years ago, but it never held up. There's no point in keeping the deluxe version if it wont seal worth a darn.

I utilized a gasket made by Precision. Delux with chrome. Sealed up fine with no sealant. Factory Assy Manual shows sealant installed on top corners though.

I had new deluxe rubber installed when BB was painted ,no leaks here .
I think I got the window rubber from the Truck Shop .

Well that reassures me that other people with the deluxe rubber did not have any problems, I just bought my new deluxe rubber and will be installing it in the spring.
