HI all this is my first question
First of all i would like to thank everyone for a nice welcome. Anyway as some of you may know I recently bought a 1969 Chevrolet CST-10 1/2 ton,
it is all stock and runs perfect except the front brakes needed new shoes, I also am planing to take the engine out this december and totaly rebuild everything and add a couple nice little toy to how shall I say oh fix any inaccuracies of mass production (you know). Anyway I am straying from my question, when I turn the wipers on they work and all but the washers do not all that I hear is the pump working there is plenty of washer fluid but nothing comes out, what do you think? |
Check the hoses, make sure noting is plugged,or broken.

My truck did the same thing. The ancient 35 year old rubber lines from the washer fluid tank had finally dry rotted and had crumbled (this was after I installed a new pump, because of course it didnt work when I got it). I went and bought a bunch of rubber tubing and some junction blocks and replumbed the whole thing. There was also a ton of crud jammed into the metal spray tips located under the cowl, I had to remove the cowl, take the tips off, and blast them out with compressed air. After those things, I ws good to go. :) good luck

(On my list of things to look as well)

Can you hear the pump pump????? Its a rotation type clicking sound for a few seconds then it should quit. Don't confuse it with the sound of the wipers.
|
i CAN HEAR THE PUMP BUT TODAY i WAS LOOKING AT IT AND THE DARN 35 YEAR OLD HOSE BROKE IN HALF SO NOW i HAVE TO GET ANOTHER HOSE :banghead:
