DISCLAIMER: I'm very seriously considering selling my pickup. :banghead:

My wife and I have run into some Major financial situation.
I'm pretty sure I'll be selling it, but it'll be 4-8 weeks.
The timing is tricky due to the "other" vehicle I'm trying to buy.

New ZZ383/425 Horsepower Engine (4k Miles)
3 Core Radiator w/Electric Fan
Custom Built Turbo 400 (1K miles)
New Rear End Gears (3:08)
Power Steering
Front/Rear Sway Bars
New Shocks front/Rear
New Exhaust
Interior is Complete (Re-Done in Retro Zilitone)
New stereo (including 2 speakers in the doors and 2 custom panel speakers w/Alpine AM/FM/CD
Custom White faced gauges w/Green LED lighting.
New Carpet Kit (with Chevy Bow Tie Sill Plates)
Body is straight and sprayed with Black Epoxy Primer
No A/C
No Power Bakes

I've seen ALOT of people advertise that "It's ready for paint" and I have to laugh , but this one is THEE closest I've seen that IS "ready for paint".

Its still got 6-lugs all the way around on manual Drum Brakes so you might want to change those out.

This IS my daily driver.


Like I said, I LOVE this truck but my family has fallen on hard times here recently and I have to re-prioritize.

Buying a truck like yours or any 35+ year old truck is a case study in supply vs. demand. Being in California, I would assume you have a rust free, clean truck. To get the highest price, you need to market it in an area of the country where our trucks are scarce, like the rust belt in the Midwest or Northeast. Place a basic ad with pictures at traderonline.com in the collector car section. This will spread your ad across the country. Adjust your asking price downward every couple weeks or so until you get some action. The winter is the toughest time of the year to sell, so you will lose some potential value trying to sell it quickly right now. You have heard this a lot I'm sure, but the truck is only worth what someone else is actually willing to pay today in cash. Best of luck.

Another possibility to sell the truck faster is put a stocker 350 in the truck instead of your killer 383. Adjust the price of the truck and sell the motor to make up the difference. The only trucks I've seen sell are the $5,000-$8,000 trucks. Stryker67 just sold a beautiful 72 swb for $6,000. Mind you it didn't have a new 383 either.
