Anyone know what the 67 -72 trucks costed $ when new? How much more for options to be added? A mint truck in these years goes now for over $10,000 easily and are turning into wanted collectibles by many people.I wondered what my truck costed new.It has a very long way to go to ever be mint , let alone very good.

my book shows a 72 c20 for around $2,915 - $3,680 . It dont list the option prices.

For 1972 the MSRP of CE10904 8 ft. fleetside was $2974. KE20904 8 ft. fleetside $3934. A difference of $1000.00 ( a lot of crackers back then) between a C10 2wd V8 and a K20 4wd V8, (std engines) Anything specific? I have a couple of the price books for certain years. For instance, Cheyenne Super added $285.15 for C10 models, M49 turbo hydramatic added $247.50 w/o 400 engine, C60 A/C added $430.40, Door edge guards added only $6.50. these prices are from the 72 Chevrolet Price and Facts Book, first edition, October 71.

My dad paid $4020 dollars for the '72 Longhorn when it was new. The spare tire tripped it over 4k. It had air, power steering power brakes, AM radio, rear sliding window, wide base flotation tires(9.50x16.5 8ply), Heavy duty shocks, heavy duty sway bar, 402 V8, TH400 auto trans, gauge package,custom cloth seats, spare tire and DF2 camper mirrors. No rear bumper.

then I guess that a truck 67 - 72 in good mech. cond. with a little restore work is worth approx. the same or more $ than when it was new.

A 72 long bed with V8, standard shift, no power anything, no radio, with dealer added step bumper and dealer mirrors was $2,525 in August 1972 when I bought it from a dealer in Detroit. Custom 10, no frills basic truck.

I remember in 1970 my brother bought a super nice CST 2 wheel drive long bed with nearly every available option for just over $4000

I saw the paper work for my dad's 72 C-20 custom/deluxe with ac and 402 v8/auto . He paid $3155.87 That included tax, liscence and it was a demo with 1300 miles on it.
