dana 44 front axles

can any one tell me if the front axles in my dana 44(79 k20 3/4t)would be the same as axles in a dana 44 out of mid 70's f100(5 stud)

Nope, they are different, at least I 'think' they would be different. The front diff should be on the driver's side, is it? I don't know anything about Fords other than that so I am guessing...

No they will not be the same.
Sorry.

Pumpkin will be on the wrong side and the 1/2 ton fords in the 70's had a habit of being coil spring.

Oh and for the love of GOD and small children avoid the twin traction beam (TTB) axles like the plague !!!

I will add a friend of mine took 8 lug knuckles from a chevy dana44 and put them on his ferd 44. He's running 14" wide rims and is eating up bearings. I'm not sure which ball joints he used, should be the same, I guess.
