Couple pics of my interior

Now don't go laughing at the steering column and wheel - they are temporary. I've got a van tilt modified and ready to be installed.

Here are the door panels I made to match my seats.

I took backing board typically used in a shower (moisture resistant) and used my old panels as a template. Then I glued upholstery foam to the board followed by the seat material. I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out. Might try to get some washers of some sort for the bolts along the bottom of the panels to make that look a little better.

I think the panels tie the interior together. Here are the seats.

Oh, got my weather stripping installed a while back and last weekend I got the chrome strip installed.

Also got the rear view mirror installed but I think I put it too high (or my truck is just too high) cause I don't get a very good view of traffic behind me.

The mirrors go below the little curve on the top of the door by window. There is a post on here somewhere showing right where they go. You did a great job on the doors.

Wow, that looks nice.................Those new style GM seats are very nice, I really like mine. Only problem I've had with them is keeping them clean  First day I had them in we moved some cows, I don't know who it was, whether me, my brother, or neighbors, but someones got some Cow Sh*T on them................Talk about a pain to clean :(

Oh well, its a work truck

Wow those look good. Where did you find the matching material? I am thinking of doing something similar to my 72 with early 90's seats.

Yukon Jack 09-30-2005 01:51 PM

I just went to a local upholstery shop and they had it in stock. Thanks for the compliments!

Looks great Yukon! I notice you painted the long skinny metal trim (top of door panel) dark grey. I was thinking of getting mine chrome plated to accent the chrome in the interior. I'm just waiting to send afew things off to the chromer dude. Doug

The whole truck looks great! :metal:

Yukon Jack 09-30-2005 05:08 PM

Thanks - I sure do like it. I painted the metal strips that holds the panels black, kinda goes with the paint theme of the truck, black and silver.
