Need some opinions
 

Im gettin ready to paint my 68 3/4 ton lwb and im stuck on what color i want to paint it. Im thinkin the stock green would be cool. im contemplating whether to keep the side chrome or shave it.. Some trucks loook good with it and others without. If i do leave it i would have to replace the whole package though..[http://classictrucks.com/events/0512cl_good_11_z.jpg
I really like the way this truck looks. Do you think that paint scheme would look good on a long box?? with green/white though. my truck just had the white on the top but i think white on the body looks good.

i think that would look awsome id leave the chrome if i 2 toned it but if i went solid color id shave it

I like it too, keep the 2 tone and leave the chrome.
I think it would be awesome on a long box.

I want to say a few things:

1) Big huge props to you for leaving the emblems on, the chrome trim and the blinkers. Honestly, people are too shave-happy these days and I think your truck really looks badass with all the identifiers on it.

2) I wouldn't paint it, but if you do, I'd stick with 2-tone and chrome trim. You just don't see it as much and it really compliments the lines of the truck. I never see 67-68 trucks with chrome trim, i don't think it was a typical factory option (i'm basing this on another recent thread).

3) I've got a green truck right now (see sig for my gallery). I think I'm going to eventually go with the same general color, but with a metalflake. I really dig the color that's on it now. It's funny to hear about another person who wants to go green, most people are like, "ew" and stuff. :D

I think the current paint job is mint. I wouldn't touch it. But I guess we all have standards. Go with what you feel.

The truck in the pic is not his truck.You need to get past the pic to read what is under it!:) He is asking if that paint job would look good on a long bed,and Yes in my opinion it would look very good,done like the one in the pic.I think some of the charm of these trucks are the chrome trim, bumpers,chrome door handles and wing vents.If I didn't want these things I would buy a new truck.
