Hmmmm, there are at least three things wrong with that truck that make it a complete waste of time.

1). Has the bed to carry something but about as much power as an Echo.
2). Does not have any A/C either factory or otherwise.
3). You'd be better off with ANYTHING else for that kind of money!.

Wow, I'm sure glad that the only trucks that matter are big block, factory a/c trucks. Thank God that GM produced so many of them between 1967 and 1972! If it weren't for all those highly optioned trucks we might not have so many members! I'm being totally sarcastic!

I like the truck, and I always like seeing an 'original'. All too often you get a truck that is all hacked up. It might have an option list that only a mother could love, but somebody does I'm sure. There are very few 67's that I would consider a "complete waste of time", and most of them are in yards.

1. How much power do you need, I've seen a 69 with green oak firewood stacked over the cab pull it with no problem (front tires were coming off the ground on the bumps)?

2. I live in Ms and don't have a/c, be a man if you wanna drive a truck

I like it. Check out the pic of the driverside door.... some big ole alabamer boy musta driven 'er.... not only is there arm wear on top of the window sill (like there should be;) ) BUT there is shoulder (or side arm) wear on the door panel:lol:

I might not pay $4k for a 6 cylinder, but that truck has some things going for it that my 67 4x4 does not. For starters it is clean, has a beautiful seat cover, and nearly perfect trim. It would take some serious time and cash to get mine to look like that.

I think survivor stuff is cool. I'd much rather start with a clean rig and beef it up than rebuild some bolt-brain's basket-case.

Roll down the windows and drive slow. That's what I do.

The price might be a little on the high side but that truck could grace my driveway any day.

:cool: I like the truck that's why I put it on here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Now here's mine. The 6cyl has plenty of power do most jobs. Did someone forget the 6cyl's were known for their off idle grunt? May not be a speed demon. I've owned one the same color, 6cy 3 on the tree even. I liked it and it didn't drink a lot of gas. Yeah, it might not have many options but this truck was built when you drove a truck for use of the truck. I like todays trucks but they have clearly been (as George Carlin says) some pus*ification of them. Now they have to ride like cars, seat as many people as a car as well, have power windows, locks, navigation sysetem blah, blah. Shoot, many don't even use the bed(other than grocceries). A truck used to be cheaper than a car now that everyone drives one they are more expensive than their counterparts.
I like old original trucks and I like modern updates on old ones as well. My 68 is going to get at least a TBI if not a 5.3 new motor. If this one has survived being original this long I'd keep it this way. I just see myself going to garage sales, camping trips, estate auctions. hardware store in a gem like this. My 2 cents.

I have to echo what Krue said....
1) My truck (grandpa's originally) had an inline and EVERY summer we would cut and haul firewood. Stacked as HIGH as we could get it to cut down the number of trips. Drove miles thru the woods & mud to get there and back. And like Krue stated, we would pop wheelies if he dumped the clutch!

2) To this day, it doesn't have A/C. Sitting in a traffic tie-up is the only time it really bothers me.

3) Let's try getting that amount of money out of a Honda that is all original (non-restored) and is about to reach 40 years old....assuming it will even run at that age.

I have an inline 250 and while it may not be a big powerhouse it has enough to pull whatever, light the tires up when needed, and is still reliable when I don't screw with it. I want to go BB but until the day comes that I can afford to build one me and my inline will be running together :D

Now back to the truck in question...very nice, but where's all the rust :crazy: :lol:

Hey now... I like the fact that i can't see rust. And wait... that what I did, shopped for a body... engines and trannys are easy to find and cheap compared to body parts IMO. Mine came stock with a 6 cyl and now it has a 350 and soon a 400l... Lol. I like both trucks... Lookin good.

krue is right, those little inlines will haul some sh%#. It's like a modern day S10 with twice the torque.

I think that's a dam nice truck and 4k isn't all that much considering that you're getting twice the truck compared to the new vehicles that are made with at least 50% or more plastic. That little six ain't no wimp for a motor either, it's made for work... not haulin' some fat sissy to his desk job! Let me clarify the last statement, not all desk jockies are sissies, or fat.:lol: :lol: ;)

PS - I still wouldn't pay that price, I'd pay $2500 tops. The rust in the front fender is from the battery tray and not uncommon...my truck has rust there and it ate into the radiator support as well. Only other places I have little dots of rust are at the bottom of the door (it's starting), the passenger rear cab corner and on the dash in one spot that's not bad at all. I seriously doubt that there's not more rust on that truck....The owner just hasn't looked well enough.
