Steering arm question

Ok got my lift and they sent me the steering arm today and opened it up and info said it was for 73 to 91.My question is are they the same as for a 70 model.HHHm I will have to compare it to one for a 90 model, maybe the info is not correct.

Re: Steering arm question

The steering arm should be the same as long as its an open knuckle axle. When I got the steering arm for my 72 the info said it was for 73-91, but it worked perfectly on my 72.

Yea what mudder67 said,I didn't have to much trouble with mine just banged on side with 2lb hammer and came right off,now on my 90 I beat, beat, beat, beat and then beat some more and still couldn't get it off,That don't sound to good does it Ah now Yall git your minds out of the gutter.but anywho there's is another post farther down the list that explains how to git it off.Very good useful tips.Randy

Re: Steering arm question

Don't beat too hard on the pitman arm. The sector shaft is strong but it's not surrounded by all strong stuff. There is such a thing as a pitman arm puller. :D
