Temperature sending unit question

I'm asking here instead of electrical because it's 67-72 specific.

Can someone tell me the resistance values for a guage type of temperature sending unit?

I have a handful of them ,and they read different resistances, so I don't know what applications they are from. I'd like to try and find the right one out of the pile, so I don't have to buy a new one.

Thanks,
Kevin

Mine measures in at 1000 Ohms when cold (55 degrees or so).
