about installing power steering on my truck.
original 350 engine , 3 on the tree, non p/s, non p/b.
i have what is suppose to be all the brackets from one truck to set up the p/b pump and stuff, have pulleys, and belts.
I dont know if this will work, as it seems that i dont have any mounting holes in the heads to move the alternator over to the passenger side.
are there any setups that can overcome this?
any pics?

The earlier trucks ( 67-69) had a bracket that mounted to the exhaust manifold. You can also get them off older cars up to 68.

If you want A/C later--you may want to end up with the alternator on the driver side. This is a good time to put a triple belt pulley on the balancer for the future.

does that put both on the drivers side with the bracket on the exhaust?

Depending on the year of the heads, if later model can use the head bolt mount type but if not then the exhaust mount or a custom mount. Depending on what type of air you may be putting on later --OEM or aftermarket, Vintage and Old Air sell mount brackets. Yes both power steering pump and alternator on the drivers side.

Dennis, tell me you built those brackets just for your own enjoyment...

If not, I have several sets of stock brackets that would have saved you a lot of effort.

Please post me a few pictures of your truck and engine. I want to see the stuff you've fabricated. It's not often someone goes to that amount of trouble.

Hey Tx, you dont happen to have a picture of the brackets for the drivers side setup of the ps pump and alternator do ya?

Ya'll, I have made brackets for years--had to when I put the V8 in my 86 Toy 4wd. I did not know you guys when I put my 67 together. Sometimes it is easier to make one then hunt for them. I did not make the Old air compressor bracket. I did fab the power steering from a speedway.com unit.
Here is a pic of the alternator bracket and other stuff. All hail the king of brackets. 8-)

O.K. i think i got it figured out with those pics and some other ones i found .
will keep y'all posted.
