Six lug spacing on old vs. new wheels?
 

I was told that GM changed the 6 lug wheel patern spacing in like '92 or something, is this correct? So a '00 wheel set will not fit on my '69? I tried a search, but got nothing.

im not sure if you would need spacers or not, but heres one on a set of escalade wheels

i believe the bolt patern is the same but the back spacing and the center hole(hub hole) is smaller.these seem to be issues when putting late model wheels on '67-'72 trucks.

The bolt circle is 6 on 5 1/2" for all years. Lilred67 is correct on why the wheels do not fit '87 and older trucks.

I have a set of 4X4 late model wheels on a 72 burb I bought. The spoke king with a spear between the spokes. The PO said they were off of a 95 z-71. They fit fine, I even use 2 of them on a burb I towed back from Arizona because they has brand new tires on them.

That's EXACTLY what I had in mind since I found a set on Craigs List for $150. The owner said the bolt patern was different, that's why I asked. Thanks for the help.

The bolt pattern is the same, but the back spacing is different and so is the size of the center hole. After resizing the center hole, i can use a 2000 chevy wheel on my 70, in the rear, but because of the offset it rubs the tie rod end on the front. You can purchase spacers, NOT THE OLD ALUMINUM SPACER, but a new style that bolts on to your wheel and you bolt the wheel on to it; lets you use the new style lug nuts for the center cap.

Not sure how they got those cad wheels on the truck, but at least had to enlarge the center hole.

I am going the opposite way by putting a set of older truck ralley's on my 05 Yukon with 33X12.50X15 and a 6" lift. The wheels will fit except that the center hole is smaller on the new wheels because the hub size is smaller in the new trucks. The offset is also different usually 4" on the older stuff and like 6" on the new so 2" spacer and you are on your way!! Those Caddy wheels would be excellent on my K5, let me know if you pass on them!!

Escalade wheels are plentiful, at least it seems so. They run around $150 to $250 depending if they are polished or not. Some on ebay go for as much as $400 + shipping.

I never see an Escalade with stock wheels, so it makes sense why they seem to be everywhere for sale :D

If you are really interested, I may know where there is a set of the escalade wheels. As mentioned, there are two different ones, one being polished or chromed finish. Let me know, and what finish, and I will check on them for you. Let me know soon, I am coming up to Phoenix the Mid of April, depending on where in Northern AZ you are we could meet someplace.

I live about 3 hours north and east of Phoenix, but travel there often and will be in town April 21-22 for the race. I am not into the bling thing so the non-polished are good, but I'll take either if the price is right!!
