Hand Brake Lever Cover
 
Some of the '67 and '68 trucks had a cover over the hand brake mechanism. Was that cover painted the same color as the dash, or was it semi-gloss black? Thanks.

well, the one I got in the junk yard last year was dash colored... gold to be exact.

May have been a re-paint.... it's been too long to remember the details. I just remember it matched the paint on my truck exactly but I have a foot operated E-brake.

I bought a '68 GMC from mikes71 a couple of weeks ago and the cover was interior color. Was it only the GMC's maybe? It wouldn't be to far fetched since the clusters are painted.

My 68 Chev was semi-gloss black.

Brake covers & tilt columns were black...but, they look a lot better painted the interior/dash color.

I had one that was the original saddle as the dash
