let me know what you think of my truck

I just downloaded some pictures of 70 C/10 and thought I would share them. Please let me know what you think. I’ll start with it was passed down from my father when he passed away several years ago. He bought it from the original owner in a small town named Old Dime Box for $400.00. And just if your wondering yes there is another town called Dime Box (that’s where my father lived). The original owner used it to haul feed from his feed store to ranches for a few years till he bought a flat bed Chevy and parked this one under a huge oak tree. Well he drained the gas, primed the oil, and got a new battery. First try and it started right up. It is all original with 49,675 miles on the one barrel straight 6cyl 250. So far I have installed a new carb, alternator, water pump, and a radiator. I also had it painted by a friend that us to do custom paint jobs:bling: . The color is hugger orange with white. I also had the seat, dash pad, and sun visors done in white leather to match. The steering wheel was a special order from grant. I also converted the gauges from dummy lights to gauges and had that painted hugger orange to match. I still need to add carpet, the wood in the bed, and springs for the rear.

Looks very nice. Nice gaps and panel alignment too.

Know exactly where Dime Box and Old Dime Box are... driven through there many times; kind'a like a wide place in the road.

Were did you get that rearview from does it mount to the original arm? Or windshield. I can seem to find a cool one that will fit the stock arm.

Looks great but I would get some nice polished wheels for sure.

Tell you what, just leave the wheels alone and send me the truck. I'll save you a lot of hassle at the tire shop!

Awesome truck! And I really like the white wheels with the white roof.

:agree: I wouldn't change the wheels. The look nice with the white roof and the white interior.

Re: let me know what you think of my truck

First off THANK YOU for all the kind words.;)

Thecatseye66 = the gauges are actually the same color as the truck hugger orange.
Tynee = that would be a yes. I still have some small places that have rust in the bed where it meets the wood. I hope to be replacing the wood and be fixing that when I come across some money.
Mocwon = I need to change the gas cap. When the truck was shot he did not covers the cap all the way around. And as for dime box it’s 35 miles from Bastrop east on 21, and dime box is another 3 miles from there on 141.
TheJoker you must be joking.
76Bonanza = I got it from LMC about 4 years ago. I have checked back and called them but then do not that one any more (or at least that’s what I was told a year ago. Also it did come with its own mounting arm so it mounts in the original location.
Boraxman = I would but I want to try to keep it looking old school.
