Which tail shaft is on a th350 long wheel base 2wheel drive truck, 6in. or 9in.?
(Not longhorn long) |
Re: which tail shaft?
all 69 - 72 TH350 trucks had a short shaft

Re: which tail shaft?
I figured all years would be the same...its in a 68.

Re: which tail shaft?
well, to be 100% acurate, there were only powerglides, Th400's, and manual shift trannys in 67/68.

Re: which tail shaft?
Lol, I cant win. I bought this truck from a board member awhile back. He installed a rebuilt motor and im pretty sure he said the trans was a th350. Hmmm, I wonder if I can remember the name of the guy I bought it from? Checkin pm's.

Re: which tail shaft?
well if it has a kickdown cable its a th350, also the pan is different than a th400 the 400 uses an electric kickdown or you could just measure your tailshaft oh and the modulator valve location is different from the th350 to th400 also
