Seats for a 70 CST swb truck???

I have a 70 CST-10 swb truck that I am now rebuilding. What bucket seats will fit the best with the in cab gas tank moved into the rear and will over the best support and comfort or should I go back with the bench seat? I currently have seats from an old sentra. I need a change and am looking for comfort and style. Thanks for the help.

I say find vintage 70 pickup buckets and put those in it.

Welcome to the board, that's a topic that's been covered quiet often. Do a search on buckets seats and you'll turn up pages and pages of different options. I had 02 silverado bucket seats in my previous 71, they fit quiet well. Here's one link that shows a few different styles.

Nearly anything will fit.If you aren't too tall.I would suggest you take lots of measurements and go to the Pick-A-Part and set a bunch.I personally like the stock bench for the side by side room but it is kind of thick in the back which makes for less legroom.Something with a thinner back could possibly be mounted an inch or two to the rear giving you a little more legroom if you're taller.

The fuel tank being relocated doesn't make anymore room for the seats, so that doesn't matter. If you are a tall person... or a heavy set person, you'll really want to watch what kind of seat you get. one inch in added seat thickness will (obviously) put you one inch closer to the wheel... and there really isn't much room to be throwing away like that.

I agree with Longhorn, being a "heavy set" person. Those inches add up, I liked the thread about shorting the distance between the steering wheel and dashboard to gain a little space.
Just be care in how you mount the seat/seats, make sure the brackets are strong enough and that the bolts won't pull thru the floor pan.

I AGREE ABOUT 10000 %. THERES A WHOLE BUNCH OF SEATS IN THE BONEYARDS THAT ARE SOOOOOO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE THAN STOCK BENCH OR BUCKETS. I BROKE MY BACK 30 YEARS AGO & HAVE TO HAVE COMFORTABLE BUCKETS. I CAN SPEND NO MORE THAN 1/2 HOUR IN ANY BENCH SEAT BEFORE I GET A BACKACHE. I RECENTLY DROVE ACROSS COUNTRY IN MY 69 TOWTRUCK FOR UP TO 12 HOURS AT A TIME WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. THE SEATS IN THAT ARE OUT OF A LATE 70s TO EARLY 80s JEEP GRAN CHEROKEE & ARE THE MOST COMFORTABLE SEATS I'VE EVER HAD IN ANY TRUCK. JOHN :)
