Power steering pump
If I remove the pump and the hoses from the Saginaw box, will there be any problems after reassembly?? Is air a problem in the system or just cycle it out by turning the wheel back and forth??????

Good question. I'd be interested in this too. I tried the cycle back and forth thing, but my steering at idle is really choppy.

If you plan on driving it or not duct tape over the opening to keep dirt out of it. Air wont be a problem its a continuous flow hydraulic system.

So if I got it right, I can disconnect, plug holes, re-assemble later and work the air out with wheels jacked up???

Yes, you dont have to jack it up the air will work it self out after a little bit of driving.You may get a little pump whine at first just recheck your fluid level after a bit.

I have disconneted mine several times and just reconected. Never had a problem. Worked the same as before I unhooked it.
