blower motor help

OK guys got a question.

I'm not the best at electrical, mainly because it scares me (I think I'm gonna screw something up)
The fan blower motor doesn't run what is the best way to check the fan to see if it actually works? Is there a way to just power the fan (I think the switch is messed up) So I want to replace the switch but while I order the switch I want to know that the fan works if not I'll buy another.
Thanks everyone!

Brian

Re: blower motor help

Take a jumper wire from hot post of battery (+) to the connection on fan motor (just pull off wire on fan and touch jumper to spade-if fan is ok it will run at high speed)

Make sure the fan is well grounded, this problem always seems to come up.
