anyone have a TPI setup??

thinkin about converting to a TPI setup in the future. can i use the same heads? i knwo that i will need the ecu, injectors/rail, harness and complete intake assembly. is there anything else i would need? also, is the 305 TPI setup the same as the 350, or does the 350 have bigger injectors or something? :metal:

Not worth the trouble. I've seen someone that did a lot of research on it end up getting screwed over multiple times because of the finicky crap that goes on with the conversions. He has spent more on a sub-par TPI setup than he could've on something like a holley stealth ram setup.

Oh and so I can at least be of a little help in answering the question, 350s had bigger injectors :)

The TPI setup is great for trucks. Great for building torque in the low and midrange. I am slowly picking up parts for a conversion. The earlier TPI intake manifold will bolt to the older heads. Later ones you have to worry about the center bolt holes. As far as the wiring and ECU, I wouldn't worry about the factory items. Newest ones are at least 15 years old and can be brittle. I would look into an aftermarket harness. I don't know how comfortable you are with electronics, but you may want to look into Megasquirt. It would be a lot easier than trying to adapt a factory setup to your ride.

It`s alot of work,to say the least. An important piece to the puzzle is a good wiring harness.

I've got a complete TPI intake. I was at one time going to do the conversion on my S-10.

One thing to look out for if you're piecing stuff together is not all bases match all plenums so get both as a single unit.
