1960-1972 chevy driver side alt bracket
5 Attachment(s)
Most people have been selling a lot of these brackets on E-bay and so far i've been burned a few times and i wanted to let this site know what to look for the Right one and the Wrong one And it is the one braket i wish they made Right Not that Crome long reach bracket the one i'm showing first with lower bracket is the corrected One
The other one is made for the Car and it dose not have a long enough throw or your Running a real short belt and i think these brackets use the 327 small warter pump and pullys that i show it took me a while to find out which one work with the power steering unit and driver side altnator braket |

Re: 1960-1972 chevy driver side alt bracket
neither of those arms look correct to me ,the factory arm i believe is mounted on the water pump not the alt bracket

Re: 1960-1972 chevy driver side alt bracket
Inner alternator bracket bolt is correct for arm mounting. It all comes off together.

Re: 1960-1972 chevy driver side alt bracket
The longer arm is the 68 and earlier pattern, while the shorter arm is the 69 and later pattern:

That's still a valid GM part number nowdays. I bought a few at the dealership when I was in a bind and needed one in a hurry.
