Need a little help with a body lift kit
Hello. I just bought a 1972 1/2 ton L/B and it has a body lift kit on it. I don't like the way it looks so I'm taking it off. The question I have is the kit included red bushings and a block set up. I took the blocks out and set the cab down on the red bushings. The problem is it looks like the cab is sitting down at the rear or back of the cab. I compared the blocks not the red bushings and found the ones in the rear are 1/2 an inch higher than the others. Can I cut the blocks and use them to level the cab, or does the 1972 cab sit down in the rear. ???

I don't know if this will help, but I would use a small level and place it on a straight section of the frame note where the bubble is and then place it on the bed rail and compare the two.

Re: Need a little help with a body lift kit
4x4 trucks used taller rear cab bushings that 2 wheel drive trucks. They might of used the 2 wheel bushings and had to make up the difference...
