Is the tank/filler neck supposed to slosh fuel this badly?
On a full tank the fuel sloshes out every time. I don't have the evap/vent hookup on the filler neck like the later year tanks.
So without this I presume the vented gas cap is needed. Is it normal for the vented gas cap to let fuel out? Should I get a new gas cap, or put some sort of baffle in the filler neck, or just live with it? It makes the paint look like sheit under it. |

Mine was doing the same thing. A 7.00 cap from Carquest fixed it right up.

Re: Is the tank/filler neck supposed to slosh fuel this badly?
it will happen, cause there are no baffles in the tanks like other vechicles, so fuel goes from one side to the other, but it sounds like the gasket on the cap is no good. it shouldnt leak. NEW GAS CAP.

Lol, off the topic kind of...
But I forgot to put my gas cap back on once, and I couldnt figure out why I had burnt 1/4 tank driving lass than a mile to my house....and what was banging around in the bed of my truck. |
