Heres what i got for $45 bucks. I seen a original radio cover plate in one of the trucks, but couldnt get either door open and didnt want to break the glass.

Re: Back from the wrecking yard

snag that..its very rare its a stock cruise control setup and extremly hard to come by

Re: Back from the wrecking yard

If that part is really hard to find then i will go back and get it. I think that truck hasnt been there long, its closer to the front of the yard, and still had the gas tank cap on and none of the others did.

yea..once again i apoligize..looks like you got some real good scores out there and they definently dont look as picked over as the two trucks ive found in the entire tampa area lol..most ive found here are totally stripped with the sab sitting on a bare frame that ussally rusted in half..so that place is definently a good find

Yeah that radio looks like it belongs in the truck, but its a tape deck.

Re: Back from the wrecking yard

I don't think you are correct about the switch- that looks like a old trailer brake set-up my 72 4x4 have one very similar bolted under the dash - it was black and was a bendix unit with 5 miles of electrical wire with it.

I think 71Super has the right idea. Looks like a trailer brake control to me. Color looks original---but a hose clamp to hold it to the column? Not a GM method, unless the original mount had broken. Wish them kinda junkyards could be up around here! Thanks for the pics.

Cool pics - thanks for taking the time to snap them. I love junkyard pictures!

Are those long bedsides on the green truck as nice as they looked???

Re: Back from the wrecking yard

Yeah, there are a few trucks there with good fenders and bedsides.
