Sorry Poorly Worded,

I'm going to rebuild it and was wondering if everything looked alright.
I was also wondering what rebuilding it consists of.

By the way what did they use to seal the case from the factory?

Looks a little worn but far from wore out. A rebuild would be all new gears and bearings or could be a cheap rebuild with just new bearings.

Check this gear out real good and then make sure all the shafts have no slop from a bad bearing.

Rebuilding the Rockwell may be kind of difficult. Parts are fairly hard to find, and expensive. You may be better off swapping in a NP205, thats what I did. I think it cost me around $225 total for the swap, including the t-case.

:agree: I thought some thing was wrong mine too, because its so loud. Then I found out thats how they are. Would love to find a divorced 205 to put in its place, maybe one day.
