paint scheme
 

thinking about changing the paint on my truck from what it is to a purple and white scheme not sure of design yet but i want to know if i should keep the one thats on it or would you change it and to what:hmm:

some questions for you....where did ya get that hood? whos hood is it? and what size cowl is that? just wondering cause i was thinking about getting a 4 3/4" fiberglass hood for my truck, but i dunno if it'll look good.

I think that paint scheme looks really bad. I can't imagine purple and white looking much better. To each his own though...do you have any pics of trucks that have something similar to what you are going for?

I think solid dark metallic purple, or purple metallis with a 6" black bottom trim plus some chrome trim in the right places would look best. Didn't Plymouth havs some early Challengers or Hemis painted like that? Purple with some white or black SS stripes up the hood might look okay too.

I get a lot of good ideas cruising street rod and show truck websites. If you don't find what you need here/need a few URLs to get you started cruising for the perfect theme, let me know.

I think purple and silver woud look better than the yellow or white.

personaly, i dont like 2 tones of anything, and i hate purple, so... i think id go with a solid color anyway, if you're just stuck on the purple, id go with a solid deep metalic purple color. with some chrome. that might look ok. hope it helps.

Do a light or medium purple and white in a factory two tone.

the hood i made. it is 5 inches high in the back there is a thread on here named who's done this and it is me doing the hood. now to the next thing the paint scheme was not my choice the previous owner had me paint it that way then he parked the truck for 4 years and then i bought it3 years ago and i agree that the colors are not my colors of choice thats why i'm changing it and someone might be on to something here one mentioned purple and silver how about this purple with silver flames:hmm: yhanks for the help keep them idea's coming two weeks to decide here's the link http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=244189
